Reforestation
Why?
Trees play a vital role in our ecosystem by purifying the air we breathe, purifying the water we consume, and serving as homes for more than 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity. Furthermore, forests offer employment opportunities for over 1.6 billion individuals, absorb and sequester detrimental carbon emissions from the atmosphere, and contribute to the creation of 25% of all pharmaceuticals.
Where?
One Tree Planted is a non-profit environmental charity on amission of global reforestation. Trees are planted in North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Pacific.
How?
One Tree Planted collaborates with trusted partners to choose the best reforestation approach. This can involve aiding natural regeneration with local seeds, supporting agroforestry to safeguard primary forests, or cultivating native tree seedlings for ecosystems in need of restoration.
